What people have said about the previous days:

"Well Done, Another GREAT Event. Yes a 2 or 3 day event would be cool. Glad to here you have recorded the sessions (I will be watching some of the other sessions). I think people who have attended DDD1 and DDD2 should be invited to DDD3 and be reserved a seat / place now it is popular."

Car / Taxi Sharing

Address Details

Want to travel together? Many people travelled quite a way for the last events and therefore we thought people might like to come together and maybe offer lifts or share taxi costs.

So we have setup a Wiki for people who for travelling to come together and communicate.

We realise that because the shuttle bus service does NOT run on Saturdays, people might be better off organising taxi shares from Reading station.

So if you are intending to drive to the event and are willing to offer a lift to petrol-sharing passengers, please put your name and email on the wiki with starting destination, and rough time and route.

By Car

By Public Transport

Exit the M4 at Junction 10 and follow the A329(M) towards Reading. Follow the road to the roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway where you will see a large sign for Thames Valley Park directly in front of you. Do not exit at the Reading Junction (A4).

At the first roundabout, take the first exit and follow the dual carriageway. At the second roundabout, take the first exit, at the third roundabout, take the second exit and at the final roundabout, take the third exit onto Microsoft Campus.

The Microsoft campus consists of four buildings arranged in a row. You'll find the main reception in the second building you come to, feel free to use the car park at the front. All the buildings are well signposted from the campus link road.
The nearest main line station is Reading Central, which is on the main lines from both Paddington and Waterloo stations.

Taxis are available outside the station. Please allow 30 minutes travel time during peak hours, otherwise the journey will take approximately 15 minutes.

Unfortunately the Thames Valley Bus service does not run on Saturdays.

Note: We are aware a number of people had issues getting from the station to Thames Valley Park for the 1st DeveloperDeveloper Day. Please use the Wiki mentioned above to share cars/taxis.
