What people have said about the previous days:

"All in all, a very worthwhile way to spend a Saturday - the kind of training day that usually would cost the best part of £1000 per participant. Something I’d definitely do again if the opportunity arose."

UK User Group: Developers Group

DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper! Day will return at the end of the year, these FREE one day events build on the success of the previous DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper Days. As before it is all about developers learning, sharing and interacting with each other in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

There will be NO Microsoft speakers presenting, just speakers from the UK .NET developer community; although we will have some of the Microsoft UK Developer Team on hand to help out and chat to attendees.

The day is put together by the community for the community, in other words you. With Microsoft UK very kindly providing the venue, logistic support and a free lunch.

New  We really value your feedback to drive future DDD event planning - 12 December 2008
Thanks to everyone who attended and made DDD7 a success, but could we do better? Please give us your feedback - we do read every single entry and session feedback is shared anonymously with the speakers. Note: We haven't forgotten the videos but they do take some time to process, they should be available early 2009.
Apologies if anyone had problems posting feedback before due to the captcha check failing, this has now been fixed.
DDD7 - Registration Open - 22 October 2008
The registration page is now open, remember previous days have 'sold out' within 48 hours - so please be quick if you are sure you'll be able to attend on the day.

The agenda is now published for the day, thanks to everyone who proposed sessions and to those who helped form the day by voting.
DDD7 - Session voting now open (Still time to submit grok talk or micro-presentation)! - 1 September 2008
Help us build the agenda by voting for which sessions to run, the final agenda will be formed by which sessions you - the community - want to see on the day.
Amazing community spirit of far, with over 70 sessions for you to help choose the perfect DDD 7 lineup.
Also you can still submit a grok talk or micropresentation - great for first time speakers to try out - so please submit your ideas.
DDD7 - Last few days for session ideas to be submitted - 28 August 2008
We are closing the call for speakers on Monday and opening the voting, so if you haven't submitted your talk and still want to then hurry up! We have over 90 session proposals already on lots of different topics.

What to expect on the day

Lunch and Refreshments

The target audience is developers and the material will focus on .NET development.

  • Technical Tracks - Each track will have different topics so you can choose to attend which sessions are of most interest.

  • Deep Technical Content - Because people who are prepared to attend on a Saturday are likely to want in-depth content most presentations will drill into specific features and technology areas.

  • 60 Minute Sessions - Balancing the number of presentations during the day, but still encouraging new speakers to share their knowledge.

Last time we had sessions on Windows Communication Foundation, AJAX, Refactoring, Webservices and XP to name a few.

Activities will include presentations on a wide range of topics, a networking area and more.
Lunch will be provided with options for vegetarians.
Tea, Coffee and refreshments will also be laid on during the breaks.

How large is the event?

We have room for approximately 320 agendees with the main rooms holding 120 people each and about 60 in the smaller ones.

How can I get more involved?

By speaking - the agenda for the day will be set by the community.

Initially we will call for speakers to submit topics that they would like to talk on - so whether you are a first-time speaker or an experienced trainer you are welcome to submit a presentation proposal.

Then the community will vote on-line for which sessions they would like to see happen on the day and from that the agenda will be decided.
